CDL to
participate in First Swiss School Development Working Day.
A school representative will be attending a
Development Working Day at The American School In Switzerland on the 14th
of November. This is an important step for the CDL alumni community as it
highlights the school’s interest in alumni issues and programs. Subjects
discussed will include, among others, alumni reunions, websites, fundraising
events, and student-alumni initiatives.
Please email us at alumni@cdl.ch
for more information.
CDL
administration changes student rules.
In a move which will remind us alumni of the good
old days when our main concern was to have school rules changed, the student
government has successfully lobbied the school administration to make the
following alterations to the student code of behavior:
#1: Students may now bring Ipods, MP3 players and
cell-phones to school, but their use is restricted to the student lounge and
other specific non-class areas.
#2: Students may now have facial hair, as long as it
is well groomed and maintained.
#3: Students may now wear shorts or skirts, as long
as they are no shorter than 10cm above the knee. Punishment for not following
this rule is to have the students wear CDL clothing for the day!
