Then, after settling in your room and relaxing, we will meet in the Hotel Lobby area to be picked up by 4x4 jeeps to whisk us off to our desert Oasis, a beautiful private Bedouin camp set up just for us!

After boarding our 4x4’s, the jeeps will speed through golden sand dunes. The dune bashing or desert driving (you choose, the former is for the more adventurous) continues with the thrill of going up and down the dunes sure to provoke shrieks and excited laughter.

The final leg of this program takes us to the main campsite, after witnessing a memorable sight – the true Arabian sunset with its glory and magic. This will most definitely be the highlight of the trip.

 At dusk there is an opportunity to try some camel riding near our Bedouin camp, as well as dune surfing. A delicious barbecue dinner is prepared on open fires and a variety of beverages are available. The camp is set up with Persian rugs and traditional to create a typical Bedouin camp under the stars. We are free to party until we can no more!

• Safari camp per person price depends on final number of attendees. Once I have the final number, I will divide the camp price accordingly.

• Full camp price, excluding alcohol which is to be paid upon consumption, is 3950 Euros for up to 45 people!

 

Event Program

November 15:

We are free to sleep late and enjoy a variety of activities, such as Helicopter rides, Hot air balloon rides, visit the famous water park, swim with dolphins, play golf or just be lazy by the pool or on the beach.

These options and how to book them will follow in a separate email.

For Dinner we have reserved a special spot at the Buddha Bar, with a menu that is sure to please all and allow a sampling of the restaurants best.

Buddha Bar Inside Grosvenor House Le Meridien Chain:

Buddha Bar is a new addition to the Grosvenor House Hotel, the same restaurant and bar that has made it way from its origin in Paris to various overseas locations.

The red carpet leading down towards the large separate entrance and the large doormen manage to evoke a little tingle of self importance.

As you enter you will be greeted by numerous bowing waitresses who will show you to the bar or straight to your table. The restaurant is huge, spread across two floors the main dining area being overlooked by a 15ft tall Buddha. The ceiling is up way above and has numerous classical red chandeliers dangling down from above. The large floor to ceiling windows allow for views of the marina.

The restaurant is dark (we were given a pocket light at the bar to read the menu) and is lit by little red candles. There are lots of secluded little coves as well as a sushi bar with Japanese low seating all around. There is a good mixture of food, taking the best of many different Asian cuisines, for instance for start you can have duck and pancakes, a variety of sushi or share a plate of vegetable tempura, just to name a few.

Buddha Bar is hugely popular throughout Dubai for visitors and residents alike, a place to see and be seen for sure.

November 16:

Sleep in late if you chose or go for an early morning swim and enjoy the hotel.

We will be having a final gathering for a Champagne Brunch which we will enjoy at the Hotel in one of their restaurants catered by acclaimed chefs. This will be a time for us to take final pictures and exchange addresses…or whatever it is we may end up doing!!
