Who is A-stout?
Julio Nkowane (CDL 2000), Mixtli de la Peña (CDL 2001) and Fred Nwaneampeh (CDL 2001) met in classes at CDL in High School. One day Julio shared a track of his work with his two friends and everything kicked off. A-stout performed once at CDL for the Fashion Show before band members graduated from the school and went on for further studies at university.
A message from the band
"A-stout" is the band name of the international hip hop ensemble comprised of rappers "Rootwords" (U.S.A)," Larynx" (Ghana), and producer "VLM" (Mexico). This group was formed by its members, all CDL alumni, in Geneva Switzerland, in the year 2000.
The early years of the millennium saw A-stout featuring on various mix tapes and compilations on the international underground circuit.
Individually, the artists have expanded and developed their respective artistic capabilities creating an extensive body of work and establishing a solid fan base.
A-stout is currently in the process of completing their debut album, which is destined to be released internationally in the summer of 2009.The songs here are taken from the same untitled debut album.
